ನೀರು ದೋಸೆ ಮಾಡುವ ವಿಧಾನ

ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ಕನ್ನಡದ ಸ್ಪೆಶಲ್ ನೀರು ದೋಸೆ ಮಾಡುವ ವಿಧಾನ.

ದೋಸೆ ಅಕ್ಕಿಯನ್ನು (ದಪ್ಪ ಅಕ್ಕಿ) 4 - 5 ಘಂಟೆ ನೀರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನೆನೆ ಹಾಕಿ. ನಂತರ ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿ ನಯವಾಗುವವರೆಗೆ ಕಡೆಯಿರಿ (ಅರೆಯಿರಿ) . ಬೇಕಿದ್ದಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ತೆಂಗಿನ ತುರಿಯನ್ನು ಸೇರಿಸಿ ಕಡೆಯಬಹುದು.
ರುಚಿಗೆ ತಕ್ಕಷ್ಟು ಉಪ್ಪು ಹಾಗೂ ಹೆಸರೇ ಹೇಳುವಂತೆ ನೀರನ್ನು ಸೇರಿಸಬೇಕು. ಸುಲಭವಾಗಿ ದೋಸೆ ಎರೆಯುವಷ್ಟು (ಉದ್ದಿನ ದೋಸೆಗಿಂತ ನೀರು ದೋಸೆ ಹಿಟ್ಟು ಜಾಸ್ತಿ ತೆಳ್ಳಗಾಗಬೆಕು) ಪ್ರಮಾಣದಲ್ಲಿ ನೀರನ್ನು ಬೆರೆಸಿರಿ.. ಈಗ ನಿಮ್ಮ ದೋಸೆ ಹಿಟ್ಟು ತಯ್ಯಾರ್.
ಈಗ ಕಾದ ಕಾವಲಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ ದೋಸೆ ಹಿಟ್ಟನ್ನು ತೆಳುವಾಗಿ ಹೊಯ್ಯಿರಿ. ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿ ಕಾದ ನಂತರ ದೋಸೆಯನ್ನು ತೆಗೆಯಬಹುದು. ಎರಡೂ ಬದಿ ಕಾಯಿಸುವ ಅಗತ್ಯವಿಲ್ಲ.
ತೆಂಗಿನ ಕಾಯಿ ಚಟ್ನಿಯ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ತುಂಬಾ ರುಚಿಯಾಗಿರುತ್ತದೆ.

ಮೊನ್ನೆ ಶನಿವಾರ ಸೋನಿ ಟಿವಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪುನರ್ ಪ್ರಸಾರವಾಗುತಿದ್ದ ಭೂಗಿ ವೂಗಿ ನೃತ್ಯ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ನೋಡುತ್ತಾ ಇದ್ದೆ. ದೇಶದ ಮೂಲೆ ಮೂಲೆಗಳಿಂದ ಬರುವ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧಿಗಳ ನಡುವೆ ಆರರಿಂದ ಅರವತ್ತು ವರ್ಷಗಳವರೆಗಿನ ವಿವಿಧ ವಿಭಾಗಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಜಿದ್ದಾ ಜಿದ್ದಿನ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧೆ ಈ ವೇದಿಕೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಕಾಣಲು ಸಿಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಸ್ವತ: ಉತ್ತಮ ನೃತ್ಯ ಪಟು ಮತ್ತು ನಟರಾದ ಜಾವೆದ್ ಜಾಫ್ರಿಯವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಸಹೋದರರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ನಡೆಸಿಕೊಡುತ್ತಾರೆ. ತಮ್ಮ ಲವಲವಿಕೆಯ ಮಾತುಗಳಿಂದ, ಹಾಸ್ಯಗಳಿಂದ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಯಶಸ್ಸಿಗೆ ಇವರದ್ದೂ ಸಿಂಹ ಪಾಲಿದೆ.

ಆ ದಿನದ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದು ಸುಂದರ ನೃತ್ಯದ ಬಳಿಕ, ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ನಿರೂಪಕರಾದ ಜಾವೆದ್ ಜಾಫ್ರಿಯವರು ಮುಂದಿನ ತಂಡ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ ಉಡುಪಿಯಿಂದ ಬಂದಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂದು ಘೋಷಿಸಿದಾಗ, ರೋಮಾಂಚನದ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಏನೋ ಪುಳಕ, ನಮ್ಮ ಊರಿನ ತಂಡ ಎಂಬ ಹೆಮ್ಮೆ. ಎಲ್ಲರನ್ನೂ ಕರೆದು ಟಿವಿ ಮುಂದೆ ಕೂರಿಸಿದೆ.

ಬಣ್ಣ ಬಣ್ಣದ ನವಿಲಿನ ವೇಷ ಭೂಷಣ ತೊಟ್ಟ 6 -7 ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನೊಳಗೊಂಡ ತಂಡ ವೇದಿಕೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಬಂತು. ತಮ್ಮ ನೃತ್ಯಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಎಲ್ಲರಂತೆ ಪ್ರಸಿದ್ದ ಹಿಂದಿ ಚಲನ ಚಿತ್ರಗಳ ಹಾಡನ್ನು ಆರಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳದೆ ಪ್ರವೀಣ್ ಗೋಡ್ಕಿಂಡಿಯವರ ರಾಗ್ ರಂಗ್ ಧ್ವನಿ ಸುರುಳಿಯ ಒಂದು ಅದ್ಭುತ ರಾಗವನ್ನು ಆರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದರು.ಇನ್ನು ಅವರ ನೃತ್ಯದ ಬಗ್ಗೆಯಂತೂ ಎರಡು ಮಾತಿಲ್ಲ, ಒಂದು ಹೊಸ ತರಹದ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನದಲ್ಲಿ ಜಿಮ್‌ನ್ಯಾಸ್ಟಿಕ್ ಬಾಲೆಯರನ್ನೂ ಮೀರಿಸುವಂತೆ ದೇಹದಲ್ಲಿ ಎಲುಬು ಇಲ್ಲವೇನೋ ಎಂದು ಸಂಶಯ ಬರುವಂತಹ ಒಂದು ವಿಶಿಷ್ಟ ಅತ್ಯದ್ಭುತ ನೃತ್ಯ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶನ ನೀಡಿದರು.

ಕೊನೆಗೆ ನಿರೀಕ್ಷಿಸಿದಂತೆ ಅವರ "ಭಾರ್ಗವಿ" ತಂಡಕ್ಕೆ ಬಹುಮಾನವೂ ಬಂತು. ಬರದೇ ಇರಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವೂ ಇರಲಿಲ್ಲ !. ತಮ್ಮ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶನದ ಬಳಿಕ ನಿರೂಪಕರು ಕೇಳಿದ ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆಗಳಿಗೆಲ್ಲ ಹಿಂದಿ ಭಾಷೆ ಬಾರದ ಕಾರಣ ಇಂಗ್ಲಿಷ್‌ನಲ್ಲೇ ಉತ್ತರಿಸ ತೊಡಗಿದರು. ಕೊನೆಗೆ ಬಹುಮಾನಗಳ ಘೋಷಣೆಯಾದ ಬಳಿಕ, ಈ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧೆಯ ಬಗ್ಗೆ, ತಮಗೆ ಬಹುಮಾನ ಬಂದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಎರಡು ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನಾದಲು ಅವಕಾಶ ಕೊಟ್ಟಾಗ, ಅವರೊಲ್ಲೊಬ್ಬಳು ಹುಡುಗಿ "I will tell this in my mother toungue Kannada" ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಹಿಡಿದಿಡಲು ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ. "ನಮಗೆ ಪ್ರೋತ್ಸಾಹ ನೀಡಿದ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ ಕನ್ನಡದ ಎಲ್ಲ ಜನರಿಗೂ ನಮ್ಮ ಧನ್ಯವಾದಗಳು, ಮತ್ತು ನಮ್ಮ ಅಜ್ಜಿ ಮಲ್ಲಮ್ಮ ಅವರಿಗೂ ನಮ್ಮ ಧನ್ಯವಾದಗಳು, ಹೀಗೆ ಎಲ್ಲರ ಪ್ರೋತ್ಸಾಹ ನಮ್ಮ ಮೇಲಿರಲಿ". ಅವಳು ಈ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಹೇಳಿ ಮುಗಿಸಿದಾಗ ವಾಹ್ ವಾಹ್ ! ಎಂಬ ಉದ್ಗಾರದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಜಾವೆದ್ ಅವರಿಂದ ಮೊದಲ್‍ಗೊಂಡು ಅಲ್ಲಿ ನೆರೆದಿದ್ದ ಪ್ರೇಕ್ಷಕರಿಂದ ಕರತಾಡನಾಯಿತು. ಕನ್ನಡ ಚಾನೆಲ್‌ಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಯುವ ಅಪ್ಪಟ ಕನ್ನಡ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಗಳಲ್ಲೇ ಇಂಗ್ಲಿಷ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾತನಾಡುವ ಜನರ ನಡುವೆ, ನಿಜವಾಗಿಯೂ ಆ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಮತ್ತು ಅವರ ಹೆತ್ತವರ ಕನ್ನಡದ ಬಗೆಗಿನ ಅಭಿಮಾನ ಕಂಡು ತುಂಬಾ ಸಂತೋಷವಾಯ್ತು. ನಿಜವಾಗಿಯೂ ನನ್ನ ಸ್ವಂತ ಸಹೋದರಿಯರೇ ಬಹುಮಾನ ಗೆದ್ದಷ್ಟೇ ಹೆಮ್ಮೆ,ಸಂತೋಷವಾಯ್ತು.

"ಭಾರ್ಗವಿ" ತಂಡಕ್ಕೆ ನನ್ನ ಅಭಿನಂದನೆಗಳು, ಈ ತಂಡವು ಇನ್ನೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಸಾಧನೆ ಮಾಡಲಿ, ದೇಶ ವಿದೇಶಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಖ್ಯಾತವಾಗಲಿ ಎಂಬ ಪ್ರೀತಿಯ ಹಾರೈಕೆ.

ಹೀಗೆ ಆಗಿರಬಹುದ ???

ಅವತ್ತು ಯಾಕೋ ದೇವ್ರು ಸಖತ್ ಕುಶಿಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ.... ತುಂಬಾ ದಿನದಿಂದ ಒಂದೇ ತರ ಜೀವ ಸೃಷ್ಟಿ ಮಾಡಿ ಮಾಡಿ ಬೋರ್ ಆಗಿತ್ತು ಅನ್ಸತ್ತೆ. ಏನೇ ಆಗ್ಲೀ ಇವತ್ತು ಒಂದು ಮಾದರಿ ಪ್ರೊಡಕ್ಟ್ ಸೃಷ್ಟಿ ಮಾಡ್ಲೇ ಬೇಕು.. ಇಷ್ಟು ದಿನ ಅಂತಹ ಒಂದು ಜೀವೀನ ಸೃಷ್ಟಿ ಮಾಡಿರ್ಬಾರ್ದು, ಅಂತದ್ದನ್ನ ಒಂದು ಇವತ್ತು ಸೃಷ್ಟಿ ಮಾಡ್ಬೇಕು ಅಂತ ಅಂದ್ಕೊಂಡ.

ಸರಿ,ಹದವಾದ ಪಂಚ ಭೂತಗಳ ಮಿಶ್ರಣ ರೆಡಿ ಮಾಡ್ಕೊಂಡ. ಯಾರೂ ಡಿಸ್ಟರ್ಬ್ ಮಾಡಿರ್ಬಾರ್ದು ಅಂತ ಒಂದು ರಹಸ್ಯ ಜಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೂತ್ಕೊಂಡು ಕೆಲ್ಸ ಶುರು ಮಾಡಿದ.. ಕರಡು ಪ್ರತಿ ರೆಡಿ ಆಯ್ತು. ತಿದ್ದಿದ, ತೀಡಿದ. ಬುದ್ಧಿ, ರೂಪ, ಒಳ್ಳೇ ಹೃದಯ ಎಲ್ಲ ನಾವೇನು ಮಾದರಿ ಅಂತ ಅನ್ನಬಹುದೋ ಅಷ್ಟು ಪ್ರಮಾಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇರಿಸಿದ.. ಕೊನೆಗೂ ಆ ಮಾದರಿ ಪ್ರೊಡಕ್ಟ್ ರೆಡಿ ಆಯ್ತು. ಇಷ್ಟೆಲ್ಲಾ ಪರಿಪೂರ್ಣ ಜೀವಿ ಪರಿಪೂರ್ಣ ಭಾಷೇನೆ ಮಾತಾಡ್ಬೇಕು ಅಂತ ಕಸ್ತೂರಿ ಕನ್ನಡವನ್ನ ಅದರ ಭಾಷೆಯನ್ನಾಗಿ ಸಿಲೆಕ್ಟ್ ಮಾಡ್ದ.
ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಕೆಲ್ಸ ಮುಗಿದ ಮೇಲೆ ನೋಡ್ತಾನೆ.. ಎದುರಿಗೆ ಜಗತ್ತಿನ ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಸುಂದರ, ಬುದ್ದಿವಂತ, ಹೃದಯವಂತ ಮುಂತಾದ ಎಲ್ಲ ಒಳ್ಳೇ ಗುಣಗಳುಳ್ಳ , ಅದ್ಭುತ ಭಾಷೆ ಮಾತಾಡೋ ಜೀವಿ ತಯಾರಾಗಿ ನಿಂತಿದೆ.. ತುಂಬಾ ಖುಶಿ ಆಯ್ತು, ಆದ್ರೆ ಆಗ್ಲೇ ಅವ್ನಿಗೆ ಇನ್ನೊಂದು ಯೋಚನೆ ಬಂತು. ಇಷ್ಟೆಲ್ಲಾ ಮಾಡಿ ಪರಿಪೂರ್ಣ ಮಾದರಿ ಜೀವಿಯನ್ನ ಸೃಷ್ಟಿ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ಆದ್ರೆ ಇದನ್ನ ಹೀಗೆ ಭೂಮಿಗೆ ಕಳ್ಸಿದ್ರೆ ತನ್ನ ಸೌಂದರ್ಯ, ಬುದ್ಧಿ ಶಕ್ತಿ, ಮುಂತಾದವುಗಳ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಅಹಂಕಾರ ಬರಬಹ್ದು. ಆಗ ಇದು ಮಾದರಿ ಜೀವಿ ಆಗೋಕೆ ಸಾಧ್ಯ ಇಲ್ಲ ಅಂತ ಅನ್ನಿಸ್ತು..

ಈ ಯೋಚನೆ ಬಂದ್ದಿದ್ದೇ ತಡ, ಸ್ವಲ್ಪಾನೆ ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಬುದ್ಧಿ ಶಕ್ತಿ, ರೂಪ ವಾಪಸ್ ತೆಗ್ದ. ಸ್ವಲ್ಪಾನೆ ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಆರಿ ಷಡ್ವರ್ಗಗಳನ್ನ ಸೇರಿಸ್ದ. ಇಷ್ಟೆಲ್ಲ ಆದ್ ಮೇಲೆ ತೃಪ್ತಿಯಿಂದ ಅದನ್ನ ಭೂಮಿಗೆ ಕಳಿಸ್ದ..
ಈಗ ನಿಮ್ಗೆಲ್ಲ ಆ ಅದ್ಭುತ ಜೀವಿನ ನೋಡ್ಬೇಕು ಅಂತ ಕುತೂಹಲ ಬಂದಿರ್ಬಹ್ದು. ಹೆಚ್ಚೇನೋ ಕಷ್ಟ ಇಲ್ಲ .. ಇಲ್ಲೇ ಬಲ ಬದಿಗೆ ಫೋಟೋ ಇದೆ..ನೋಡ್ಕೊಳ್ಳಿ..

ನಾನೀಗ ನಿಮಗೆ ಹೇಳಲಿರುವ ವಿಷಯ ಸುಮಾರು 25 ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಹಿಂದೆ ನಡೆದಿದ್ದರೂ, ನಿನ್ನೆ ಮೊನ್ನೆ ನಡೆದಂತೆ ನನ್ನ ಮನಸಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಹಚ್ಚ ಹಸುರಾಗಿದೆ. ಸುಮಾರು ಮುಸ್ಸಂಜೆಯ ಹೊತ್ತು, ಪ್ರಶಾಂತ ಹಾಗೂ ನಾನು ಕಾರ್ಕಳದ ಗೋಮಟೇಶ್ವರ ಬೆಟ್ಟಕ್ಕೆ ತಿರುಗಾಟಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗಿದ್ದೆವು. ಬೆಟ್ಟದ ಮೇಲೆ ತಿನ್ನಲು ಕಡಲೆ ತರಲೆಂದು ಪ್ರಶಾಂತ ಕೆಳಗೆ ಹೋಗಿದ್ದ. ನಾನು ಗೋಮಟೇಶ್ವರ ಬೆಟ್ಟದ ನೆತ್ತಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಮುಂದೆ ನಡೆಯದಬಹುದಾದ ಅದ್ಭುತದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಎಳ್ಳಷ್ಟೂ ಸುಳಿವು ಇಲ್ಲದೆ, ಆ ಅಗಾಧ ಮೂರ್ತಿಯ ಹಿಂದೆ ಮಂಗಳಪಾದೆಯನ್ನು ನೋಡುತ್ತಾ ನಿಂತಿದ್ದೆ. ಆಶ್ಚರ್ಯ! ಆ ನೀಲ ಆಕಾಶದಲ್ಲಿ ದೂರದಿಂದ ಬೆಳ್ಳಿ ಚುಕ್ಕೆಯೊಂದು ನನ್ನ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಬರತೊಡಗಿತು. ಚುಕ್ಕೆಯಂತೆ ಭಾಸವಾಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಅದು ಹತ್ತಿರ ಬಂದಂತೆಲ್ಲಾ ತಟ್ಟೆಯಾಕಾರದ ತಳೆದು ತನ್ನ ಕಡ್ಡಿಯಂತಹ ನಾಲ್ಕು ಕಾಲಿನ ಮೇಲೆ ಗೋಮಟೇಶ್ವರ ವಿಗ್ರಹದ ಹಿಂದೆ ವಿಶಾಲವಾದ ಖಾಲಿ ಜಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಲುಗಡೆಯಾಯ್ತು. ಭ್ರಮೆಯೋ ಏನೋ ಎಂದುಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾ ನೋಡ ನೋಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದಂತೆ ಆ ತಟ್ಟೆಯಾಕಾರದ ವಾಹನದಿಂದ 8 -10 ಜನ ಮಾನವನಂತೆಯೇ ಕಾಣುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಜೀವಿಗಳು ಹೊರಗಿಳಿಯತೊಡಗಿದವು. ಮಾಲೆಯಂತೆ ಧರಿಸಿದ್ದ ಗುರುತು ಚೀಟಿಯಿಂದ ಅವರೆಲ್ಲರ ಕೊರಳು ಅಲಂಕರಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ತಿತ್ತು. ಇದನ್ನೆಲ್ಲ ನೋಡುತ್ತಾ ಆಶ್ಚರ್ಯದಿಂದ ನಿಂತಿದ್ದೆ.ಅವುಗಳಲ್ಲೊಂದು ಜೀವಿ ನನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಉತ್ತರವಾಗಲೋ ಎಂಬಂತೆ ನಾನಿದ್ದ ಕಡೆ ನಿಧಾನವಾಗಿ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಾ ಬಂದಿತು.ಅವರ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ತಿಳಿಯುವ ಕುತೂಹಲದಿಂದ ಅದನ್ನು ಮಾತನಾಡಿಸುವ ನಿರ್ಧಾರ ಮಾಡಿದೆ.
ನನ್ನ ಭಾಷೆ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ತಿಳಿಯುತ್ತೋ ಇಲ್ಲವೋ ಎಂಬ ಸಂಶಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಲು ತಡವರಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದೆ. ಅಷ್ಟರಲ್ಲಿ ಅದು ತನ್ನಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಮಣೆಯಂತಹ ವಸ್ತುವನ್ನು ತೆರೆದು ಅದರಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಗುಂಡಿಯನ್ನು ಒತ್ತತೊಡಗಿತು. ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಸಮಯದ ನಂತರ ಅದೇ ಹೇಳಿದಂತೆ ಅದೇನೋ ಇಂಟರ್ಪ್ರಿಟರ್ ತನ್ನ ಕಾರ್ಯರಾಂಭ ಮಾಡಿತು. ಅದರ ಸಹಾಯದಿಂದ ಪರಸ್ಪರರ ಭಾಷೆ ಇನ್ನೊಬ್ಬರಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಯುವಂತಾಯಿತು.

ನನ್ನ ಮೊದಲ ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆಯನ್ನು ಅದರ ಮುಂದಿಟ್ಟೆ.

ಭೂಮಿಯೂ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಒಂಭತ್ತು ಗ್ರಹಗಳ ಹೆಸರುಗಳನ್ನು ವಿಜ್ಞಾನ ಪಾಠದಲ್ಲಿ ಉರು ಹೊಡೆದಿದ್ದೆ. ಆದ್ರೆ ಈ ಹೊಸ ಗ್ರಹ ಯಾವ್ದು ಅಂತ ತಿಳಿದೇ ಗಲಿಬಿಲಿಗೊಳಗಾದೆ. ಆದ್ರೂ ಆ ಗ್ರಹದ ಜೀವಿಗಳ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಇನ್ನೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ತಿಳಿಯುವ ಕುತೂಹಲದಿಂದ, ಅವರ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಇನ್ನೂ ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಹೇಳುವಂತೆ ಕೇಳಿದೆ.

"ನಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಖ್ಯವಾಗಿ ಐಬಿಯಮರ್ಸ್, ಇನ್ಫೋಸಿಯನ್ಸ್, ವಿಪ್ರೊಟ್ಸ್ ಮುಂತಾದ ಜನಾಂಗಗಳಿವೆ. ನಾವು ಮುಖ್ಯವಾಗಿ ಸಿ, ಸಿ++, ಜಾವಾ, ಎಕ್ಶ್ ಎಂ ಎಲ್ ಮುಂತಾದ ಭಾಷೆಗಳನ್ನು ಉಪಯೋಗಿಸ್ತೇವೆ. ಇವಿಷ್ಟೇ ಅಲ್ದೆ ಇನ್ನೂ ಹತ್ತು ಹಲವು ಭಾಷೆಗಳ ಉಪಯೋಗ ಕೂಡ ಇದೆ. ಸಣ್ಣ ಪುಟ್ಟ ಜನಾಂಗಗಳೂ ಇವೆ "

ಇದೆಲ್ಲಾ ವಿಷಯಗಳು ತುಂಬಾ ವಿಚಿತ್ರವಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಒಂದು ಅಕ್ಷರವೂ ಅರ್ಥ ಆಗ್ಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಆದ್ರೂ ನಾನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಕೊಡಲು ತಯಾರಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಅವುಗಳ ಕೆಲಸ ಕಾರ್ಯದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ನನ್ನ ಮುಂದಿನ ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆ ಎಸೆದೆ. ಅದು ಒಂದೊಂದೇ ವಿಷಯ ಪಟ್ಟಿ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾ ಹೋಯ್ತು . ಅವುಗಳೆಲ್ಲವೂ ನನ್ನ ಮಟ್ಟಿಗೆ ಕಲ್ಪನಾತೀತವಾಗಿದ್ದವು.

"ಮೊದಲನೆಯದಾಗಿ ನಾವು ಎಲ್ಲ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲೂ ಹವಾ ನಿಯಂತ್ರಿತ ಕೊಠಡಿಯ ಒಳಗೆ ಬದುಕ್ತೇವೆ. ನಾವು ಕುಡಿಯುವ ಕಾಫಿ ಚಹಾದಂತಹ ಪಾನೀಯಗಳು ಭೂಮಿಯಲ್ಲಿರುವಂತೆ ಬೆಂಕಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ತಯಾರಿಸಲ್ಪಡದೆ, ಯಂತ್ರಗಳಿಂದ ತಯಾರಿಸಲ್ಪಡುತ್ತವೆ. ನಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲವರು ರಾತ್ರಿ ಹಗಲು ವಿಶ್ರಾಂತಿ ಇಲ್ಲದೇ ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡುವ ಸಾಮರ್ಥ್ಯ ಉಳ್ಳವರಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ನಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲವರಿಗೆ ಪದೇ ಪದೇ ತಮ್ಮ ಕೆಲಸ ಬದಲಾಯಿಸುವ ಅಭ್ಯಾಸ ಇದ್ದು, ಕೆಲವರು 6
ತಿಂಗಳಿಗಿಂತಲೂ ಕಡಿಮೆ ಅವಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ತಮ್ಮ ಉದ್ಯೋಗ ಬದ್ಲಾಯಿಸ್ತಾರೆ. ಎಷ್ಟೇ ಪ್ಯಾಕೇಜ್ ಅಂದ್ರೆ ಸಂಬಳ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿದ್ರೂ ತೃಪ್ತಿ ಪಡದೆ ತಮ್ಮ ಓರಗೆಯವರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಹೋಲಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದು ನಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಇನ್ನೊಂದು ಅತಿ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಅಭ್ಯಾಸ."

ಕನ್ನಡ, ಹಿಂದಿ, ಇಂಗ್ಲೀಷ್ ಮುಂತಾದ ಭಾಷೆಗಳನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದ್ದ ನಂಗೆ ಅದು ಹೇಳಿದ ಭಾಷೆಗಳ ಹೆಸರು ಬಹಳ ವಿಚಿತ್ರವಾಗಿ ಕಂಡಿತು. ಅಲ್ದೆ 15 ವರ್ಷದಿಂದ ಒಂದೇ ಬ್ಯಾಂಕಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ನನ್ನ ತಂದೆ, 20 ವರ್ಷದಿಂದ ಅದೇ ಶಾಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅಧ್ಯಾಪಕರಾಗಿದ್ದ ನನ್ನ ಮಾಸ್ಟ್ರು ಮುಂತಾದವರನ್ನು ಕಂಡಿದ್ದ ನನಗೆ, ಅವರ ಉದ್ಯೋಗ ಬದಲಾಯಿಸುವ ಅಭ್ಯಾಸ ಕೇಳಿ ತುಂಬಾ ಆಶ್ಚರ್ಯವಾಯಿತು.

ನಾನು ಮುಂದಿನ ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆ ಕೇಳಲು ತಯಾರಾದೆ. ಆದ್ರೆ ಅದು ಮಣೆಯನ್ನು ತೆರೆದು ಅದೇನೋ ಓದ್ಲಿಕ್ಕೆ ಶುರು ಮಾಡಿತು.. ಕೂಡ್ಲೆ ಅದೆಂತದೋ ಕಸ್ಟಮರ್ ಮೈಲ್, ಪ್ರೊಜೆಕ್ಟ್, ಬಗ್ ಬಂದಿದೆ ಅಂತ ತನ್ನವರಿದ್ದ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಓಡ್ಲಿಕ್ಕೆ ಶುರು ಮಾಡಿತು. ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಹೊತ್ತಿನ್ ನಂತರ ತಮ್ಮ ಪ್ರವಾಸವನ್ನು ಅಲ್ಲೇ ಮೊಟಕುಗೊಳಿಸಿ ಅವರೆಲ್ಲ ವಾಪಸ್ ಹೋಗ್ತಾ ಇದ್ದಿದು ಕಂಡಿತು..

ಇನ್ನೂ ಕೇಳಬೇಕೆಂದಿದ್ದ ನನ್ನ ಎಲ್ಲ ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆಗಳು ನನ್ನಲ್ಲಿಯೆ ಉತ್ತರವಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಉಳಿದು ಬಿಟ್ಟವು.

ನನ್ನನು ಹುಡುಕುತ್ತಾ ಬಂದ ಪ್ರಶಾಂತ ನನ್ನ ಈ ಅನುಭವವನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ಕಲ್ಪನೆಯೆಂದು ಹೊಗಳಿದ. ಎಷ್ಟೇ ಹೇಳಿದ್ರೂ ಅದು ನಿಜ ಅಂತ ನಂಬ್ಲಿಕ್ಕೆ ತಯಾರಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ನಾನೂ ಆ ಘಟನೆ ನಿಜವೋ ಸುಳ್ಳೋ ತಿಳೀದೆ ಬಹುಶಃ ಭ್ರಮೆ ಇರ್ಬಹುದು ಅನ್ಕೊಂಡು ಅಲ್ಲೇ ಸುಮ್ಮನಾದೆ.

ಈ ಘಟನೆಯ ಕೆಲವು ದಿನಗಳ ನಂತರ ಐ ಟಿ ಸಂಬಂದಿತ ವ್ಯವಹಾರಗಳ ಹೊರ ಗುತ್ತಿಗೆಗಾಗಿ (ಔಟ್ ಸೊರ್ಸ್)ವಿದೇಶಿ ಕಂಪನಿಗಳು ಭಾರತದತ್ತ ಮುಖ ಮಾಡಿರುದರ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಸುದ್ದಿ ಕೇಳಿದೆ.

ಈಗ ನಾನೂ ಆ ಉದ್ಯಮದ ಭಾಗವಾಗಿ ಆಗ ಉತ್ತರವಿಲ್ಲದೇ ಉಳಿದ ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಉತ್ತರ ಕಂಡು ಕೊಳ್ತಾ ಇದ್ದೇನೆ.

ನಾನು ಕಂಡ ಒಂದು ಸತ್ಯ ಘಟನೆಯ ಚಿತ್ರಣ.

ರಿಕ್ಷಾದಲ್ಲಿ ಕುಳಿತು ಬರುತ್ತಿರುವಾಗ ಅಪ್ರಯತ್ನ ಪೂರ್ವಕವಾಗಿ ಆ ಜಾಗದ ಕಡೆ ದೃಷ್ಟಿ ಹರಿದು ನಿನ್ನೆ ನಡೆದ ಘಟನೆ ನನ್ನ ಮನ: ಪಟಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಕುಣಿದಾಡತೊಡಗಿದತು. ಈ ದಿನದ ಈ ಕ್ಷಣದವರೆಗೆ ನರ ಬಲಿ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಲೆಂದೇ ಕಾಯುತಿದೆಯೋ ಎಂಬಂತಹ ರಸ್ತೆ ಗುಂಡಿಯನ್ನು ಇಬ್ಬರು ರಸ್ತೆ ಕೆಲಸಗಾರರು ಮುಚ್ಚುತಿರುವುದು ಕಂಡಿತು. ಆದರೆ ಅದರ ಪಕ್ಕದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಹೆಪ್ಪುಗಟ್ಟಿದ ರಕ್ತದ ಕಲೆ ನಿನ್ನೆ ನಡೆದ ದುರಂತವನ್ನು ಸಾರಿ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದವು. ನಿನ್ನೆ ಅಲ್ಲೇ ಪಕ್ಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿದ್ದಿದ ಶವದ ಚಿತ್ರಣ ಕಣ್ಣಮುಂದೆ ಸುಳಿಯಿತು.

ನಿನ್ನೆ ಬೆಳಿಗ್ಗೆ ಆಫೀಸಿಗೆ ಹೋಗುತ್ತಿರುವಾಗ ಇದೆ ಜಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ ರಕ್ತದ ಮಡುವಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿದ್ದಿದ್ದ ಸುಮಾರು ಇಪ್ಪತ್ತರ ತರುಣಿಯ ಶವ ಕಂಡು ವಿಚಾರಿಸಲಾಗಿ ತಿಳಿದು ಬಂದ ವಿಷಯ ದಂಗು ಬಡಿಸುವಂತೆ ಇತ್ತು. ತುಂಬಿ ತುಳುಕುತಿದ್ದ ಬಸ್ಸಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಒಳಗೆ ಕಾಲಿಡಲೂ ಜಾಗವಿಲ್ಲದಂತಹ ಪರಿಸ್ತಿತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ತನ್ನ ಜೀವನದ ಕೊನೆಯ ಪ್ರಯಾಣ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದಳು ನತದ್ರಶ್ಟ ತರುಣಿ. ವೇಗವಾಗಿ ಬಂದ ಇನ್ನೊಂದು ಬಸ್ಸು ಎಡಗದೆಯಿಂದ ಮುಂದಕ್ಕೊಡುವ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದಾಗ ರಸ್ತೆ ಗುಂಡಿಯ ಪರಿಣಾಮವಾಗಿ ಬಲ ಬದಿಗೆ ವಾಲಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಎರಡು ಬಸ್ಸುಗಳ ನಡುವೆ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿ ಹುಡುಗಿ ಹೆಣವಾಗಿದ್ದಳು. ಬಹುಶ: ಅವಳ ದೇಹದಿಂದ ಹರಿದು ಮಡುಗಟ್ಟಿದ ರಕ್ತವೇ ಆ ಗುಂಡಿಯನ್ನು ಮುಚ್ಚುವಷ್ಟಿತ್ತು.

ಇಂದು ಆ ಗುಂಡಿಯನ್ನು ಮುಚ್ಚುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಆದರೆ ಒಂದು ದಿನ ಮೊದಲೇ ಈ ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದರೆ ಆ ಹುಡುಗಿಯ ಪ್ರಾಣ ಹಾಗೂ ಅವಳ ಪೋಷಕರ ಸಂತೋಷವನ್ನು ಉಳಿಸಬಹುದಿತ್ತೋ ಏನೋ ಎಂದು ಅನಿಸಿದರೂ, ಎಷ್ಟೋ ದಿನದಿಂದ ಮೃತ್ಯು ಕೂಪವಾಗಿ ಕಾಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಆ ಗುಂಡಿಯನ್ನು ಮುಚ್ಚುವ ಹೋರಾಟದಲ್ಲಿ ಹುತಾತ್ಮಳಾದಲೇನೋ ಎಂದೆನಿಸಿ ಹೃದಯ ಬಾರವಾದದ್ದಂತೂ ನಿಜ.

ಛೇ! ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಮೊದಲೇ ಗೊತ್ತಾಗಿ.ದ್ರೆ , ಅಲ್ಲೇ ಹೋಗ್‌ಬಹುದಿತ್ತು. 50 ಸಾವಿರ ಜಾಸ್ತಿ ಪ್ಯಾಕ್ಕೇಜ್ ಸಿಗ್ತಿತ್ತು. ಆನ್-ಸೈಟ್ ಚಾನ್ಸ್ ಸಹ ಉಂಟಂತೆ.. ತುಂಬಾ ಹುಡುಗಿಯರು ಇದ್ದಾರಂತೆ ಟೀಮ್-ಅಲ್ಲಿ. ಗ್ರೋತ್ ಚಾನ್ಸ್ ತುಂಬಾ ಇದೆಯಂತೆ ..

ಈಗ ಫೋನ್ ಮಾಡಿ ಹೇಳ್ತಾನೆ ಮಂಗ.. ಒಂದು ತಿಂಗ್ಲ ಮೊದ್ಲೆ ಹೇಳಿಕ್ಕೆ ಏನು ದಾಢಿ ಅವನಿಗೆ? ಛೇ! ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದು ಹುಡುಗಿ ಸಹ ಇಲ್ಲ.... ಬರೀ ಬೋರು. ಕಡಿಮೆ ಸಂಬಳ ಬೇರೆ..ಆ ಪ್ರೊಜೆಕ್ಟ್ ಮೇನೇಜರ್ ಬೇರೆ ಇಡೀ ಕಂಪನಿ ಅವ್ನ ಅಪ್ಪಂದ ಏನೋ ಅನ್ನೋ ಹಾಗೆ ಮಾಡ್ತಾನೆ..

ಮೊದಲ ಕಂಪನಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇರುವಾಗ, ಈ ಕಂಪನಿ ತುಂಬಾ ಒಳ್ಳೇದಿದೆ ಅಂತ ಕೇಳಿದ್ದೆ. ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಬಂದು ನೋಡಿದ್ರೆ ಏನೂ ಇಲ್ಲ ..ಇರ್ಲಿ ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇರಿ ಒಂದು ತಿಂಗಳು ಆಗಿದೆ ಅಷ್ಟೇ .. ಎರಡು ಮೂರು ತಿಂಗಳು ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲ್ಸ ಮಾಡಿ ಮತ್ತೆ ಆ ಕಂಪನಿಗೆ ಹಾರುವ ಪ್ಲಾನ್ ಮಾಡ್ತೇನೆ. ಎರಡು ವರ್ಷದಲ್ಲಿ 5 ಕಂಪನಿ ಚೇಂಜ್ ಮಾಡಿದೆನೇ ...ಇನ್ನೊಂದು ಚೇಂಜ್ ಮಾಡುದು ಏನ್ ಕಷ್ಟ ... ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದು ನಾಲ್ಕು ತಿಂಗಳಿದ್ದು ಏನಾದ್ರೂ ಅಪ್ರೈಸಲ್ ಸಿಗ್ತದ ನೋಡ್ತೇನೆ.. ಸಿಗುವ ಚಾನ್ಸ್ ಇಲ್ಲ ..ಆ ಎಚ್ ರ್ ಅವ್ಂದೇ ಕಿಸೆಯಿಂದ ದುಡ್ದು ಕೊಡೊ ಹಾಗೆ ಮಾಡ್ತಾನೆ ...

Hero of our joke is a graduate, without job...

He was tired searching for a job. No one is ready to give him a job without experience....frustrated poor fellow, decided to commit suicide. While going for dieing suddenly, he saw a poster about the job vacancy in a circus company. He postponed his suicide plan and thought of checking the job offer. .Immediately he contacted circus company manager.

Manager started explaining the job profile. One of their resource bear died recently and they were struggling for finding a replacement for that resource. So his job is to wear the bear dress, what they will give and dance in front of the people. 30k per year with food and accommodation will be the offer. More over 0 - 20% performance bonus also will be given based on his performance.

He doesn’t have any other choice/offer in his hand to bargain about the package. So he agreed to join.

One month passed without any problem...They were bringing him to the stage in a cage.... he has to dance in front of the audience and should go back to cage after his show. He was happy about the job.

Every thing was going smoothly until that day. But that day, while going back after his show, he noticed that the partition door between his cage and tiger's cage was not closed. Tiger is sitting there starring at him.

He started shouting for help. But none came for help. Tiger started to walk slowly towards him.

No gap between tiger and him. Shouting without any use, he closed his eyes.

Tiger: Hey why you are shouting? What is your package?

This is a "Masala" kind of story I am going to tell you.
Well the hero of this story is your own viji, its me...You will get to read one of my ventures..

I was 20 studying in my first year BE. That day I was watching a TV program. I don't remember the channel name, even it is of

no importance here. There was a display of next day's program list. For my excitement an A type film "K*** S****" was there

next day night 11:00 PM.

WOOOW...Who will loose this GOLDEN chance? Right? I must watch this.. (A clarification... I was 20 at that time and enough

grown up to watch 'Adults only' kind of movies.) Count down started since morning !!. 8 Hours to go, 7 Hours to go .....1

Hours to go...0 Hours to go!!!!!!!!!!!! Excitement reached its peek. All lights were switched off. TV Volume was mute.
Finally..It started. I was not patient enough to see big list of names. Why the hell they are showing the names?
Nothing much (??!!) was there initially. So was quite boring, that too without sound. 10 -15 minutes film over. Nothing much got to see....

I was expecting some thing.. But suddenly TV switched off. Power Cut! What I could do, despite cursing electric board?
Consoled my self.. Thinking I may get chance to see that some other day...
Still waiting for that "Other day"

Few tips

Today I am thinking of writting about some lotus notes tips.

Tip No1:
Always keep a default view. Otherwise this will crate problem in mail related functions like @Mailsend. if you choose to add the document link in the mail, link will not be pasted in the mail, if you don't have default view.

Tip No2:
It is alwys best to select the advanced acl property "Enforce a consistent ACL across all replicas". This will helps you in many situations. Unless you select this property some acl related functions like @UserRoles will not work as expected.

When I was in college, always I was thinking like, why other section girls are looking good compared to my classmates. And for my surprise, whenever I see another college girls, they were looking better than those other section girls of my college!!!. Can't understand, why it is so...

When I joined a company after my studies, same story here too.... first of all there will not be any girls in my team most of the times, even if there are, other team girls looking better. But I donno why, whenever I see other company girls they are looking better than those 'other team girls'. Don't understand, why it is so...

I am experiencing this every where. I see better looking girls only in other bus. Donno why girls will not get in to the bus in which I boarded. But if there are girls in my bus by chance, they will be always sitting in other seats, where I can't see properly.

That's why I guess people will say.

"99.99..99" % girls of this world are good looking, except 0.00..01% of our college/company"

Some times the answers for few questions will be quite strange.

Yes, answer for this question too falls in the same category. PMT buses ( Pune municipal transportation) made me, like black or brown shirts. Yes true...

Their motto is, "we don't clean the buses. You come and sit, it will get cleaned up automatically....".

Look at this another funny situation.
If you want to travel in Pune and you don't have own vehicle, then you should not be fat. Confused? Thinking what is the relationship between traveling and body size?

But.. Yes it matters.. Read on
You have to depend on 'Share Rickshaw’ in pune, otherwise you can't reach on time. And of course you have to be slim to be one among the 4 commuters, who all strive to fit in the back side seat. And if you are lucky enough, you will get chance to share driver seat also.

Engineer who designed the rickshaw for 4 people including driver, may get surprised to see 6 -7 people (even some times 8) people doing circus in one rickshaw, that too in city roads..

I was traveling in a quite new (!!) PMT bus. You might have seen in buses, a notice will be written about the capacity of the bus, like "Licensed to sit ** and ** standees". (Some thing like this)

In that bus they haven't mentioned the numbers and a blank space was provided with the intention to fill it in future. And hence a KILADI got a chance to do fill in the blank exercise. "Licensed to sit 50 and 250 standees".

If you traveled in PMT buses, you will come to know how true it is.

The code made me feel proud of my logical skill

Being a software engineer, I have written many codes. There is nothing special in that. Even when I came up with a solution for some tricky problems, I felt happy. Also such things gave me satisfaction in my work life....

But this one stands first among all those gems.

Just to let you understand the senario, for which I came up with the solution, I will explain that first.

This is regarding a small application, that can be used for making reservations. For example Room booking systems, Car booking systems Etc.
The requirement was to avoid the duplicate bookings. Users shouldn't be allowed to book same room for the same time frame. means once if a room or car is booked for some time, it should not be allowed for others to book that same room/car for the same duration. And overnight booking was allowed.

Booking form was as below.

Try to find solution outline for this.

After struggling a quite, finally I came up with a decent solution.....
And that gave me the most happiness ever I experienced in my 2 years software work life.

Normally for this type of situations, if reservations are restricted to only one day , solution would be as below. Will be quite simple.

1. Search for the existing reservations, with the same car name/number or room name/number. (Some thing like unique key).
2. Get the collection of all those reservations from above list, which matches our reservation date.
3. Check weather any of them have reservation time, which may deny us booking the room we want.
4. If yes then prompt a message like room is not allowed.
5. Else allow booking.

But now in our case over night reservations were allowed, where reservation may extend to 2 - 3 days. This made the problem bit tricky, as it is not that easy to follow the solution explained above.

Ex: If a resrvation already exists for 18/01/2007 then our booking is from 16/01/2007 to 19/01/2007 for the same room, it is not that easy to check weather reservation is not possible for us or not.

If we keep on comparing dates and times separately, we will end up with more than 12 if conditions, that too may not work properly for all senarios. After finding this fact I started thinking some alternative way, where I can simplify whole thing in much efficient simpler way. That leades to the master piece of code, I ever written in my work life....
I decided to combine date and time as one entity, as follows.

Problem description: In lotus notes development it is quite often, we developers face situations, where based on the user's role we have to grant/restrict some of the functions for him/her.

Solution: Solution is quite simple. we can use 'Evaluate' function as follows.

Step1:

Create a function in the script library as below.

Well this is related to the valentines day:

When I was studying in 10th, I was in hopes that some thing ?????? may happen in 12th
(Even though it was quite early to think abt that. ...Note:: Please
note that, this steatement is not applicable for current situation. I
am Talking abt 8 -9 years back ).

Then in 12th again same story.. Nothing happened.. so hopes extended
to next mile stone ... it is B.E....

Do you think any thing happened in BE??? nope.. Nothing.....Again
hopes... Fortune may change, once after I get a job....

But now it is 2 year, since I become a SE (Enough paid) .. still the
